Route information
All races in the Western Pacific will start and end at the Quarry Lakes Recreation Area. Courses have a small portion of pavement at the beginning/end, and otherwise mainly consist of dirt/fire trail. The half marathon and 10K have large out-and-back sections on the Alameda Creek Trail. This is a very flat course with very few hills to speak of.
Participants can get a course map for their event on the morning of the race. The course will have plenty of markings along the trail (ribbons, flour, signs) to help guide runners, and there will be volunteers posted on the trail to direct participants.

Brazen Racing
We don’t care if you are fast or slow, big or small, young or old. We aren’t the beautiful people you might see in a shoe commercial on TV. We never will be. We’re just everyday people who have discovered the happiness that running can bring. If you have the guts to get off the couch, get outside and run or walk at least 5K (3.1 miles), we are ready for you.
