  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

The course is mostly flat with some good hills. Runs a portion of the Portage Trails and goes through nice portions of Portage. The course is marked well and the course marshals are very friendly and motivating. Kalamazoo has an awesome running community!
  • Did the Half Marathon in 2019

Very disorganized on race day. Start/finish not clearly marked. No gear check area established. Nice course. More communication would be helpful leading up to race.
  • Did the 10K Run in 2019

Overall it was a great experience. The weather added a true Blast experience. The course was laid out well and offered protection from the wind. The atmosphere before and after was energized with a band and emcee to announce the race. The only down side was the poor communication on the morning of the event. Due to weather an announcement was made the night before stating that a race announcement would be made at 6:00am. It was not received until 6:40am. Otherwise it was a wonderful event.
