Did the race in 2019
The WTF race aims to host a race on the worst day of a Michigan winter. Previous years were warm but this year had a solid 3 inches of snow blanketing the course. They send you either through a creek during the race or penalize you w/extra mileage. It was a tough run for sure but incredibly fun and beautiful! The environment was fun, hospitality was solid, and a great experience all around. A few more warming stations and/or fires would be great to encourage people to hangout longer after the race.

The course was snow covered, but not too icy. It's a beautiful place and there's a nice range of terrain, with enough hills to make it interesting, but not enough to kill you. If you wanna run in the winter.

Trail half was a blast; not too hilly, nice and wide open at many points along the trail; passing was never an issue. Event was well ran; very nice medals and sweatshirts, nice hot ramen and hot chocolate at the end (along with the other usual suspects like bananas). Sufficient toilets as well. Great event!
