XTERRA Lake Tahoe 5K, 10K, Triathlon, Sprint, Duathlon & Aquabike routes

The starting line is in Incline Villiage, located on the shores of Lake Tahoe and right across the border from California.

The XTERRA Lake Tahoe Event is the ultimate off-road endurance events for outdoor enthusiasts. With two distances of triathlon, a duathlon, aquabike, 5K or 10K trail race, and kids races, there will be something for the whole family.

Triathlon, Duathlon, Aquabike:

The triathlon course is an all-time classic off-road course. Racers will start by taking a dip in the pure, crisp waters of Lake Tahoe, performing two 750m laps of the swim course totalling 1500m before heading out on their mountain bikes.

The bike route is set to test the skill and fitness or competitors. It begins will a gradual climb up Tunnel Creek onto Flume Trail, where riders will experience the vast views from the mountainside over the Lake. Past Marlette Lake, riders will experience the thrill of the rocky and fast downhill Tahoe Rim Trail. All courses will complete this 22 mile bike ride, and have their breath taken away by both the 4000ft of climbing, and incredible views.

The running course is relatively flat 5K lap that winds through the towering aspens and pines, with a few creek crossings to keep things interesting.

5K and 10K:

From the starting area on the Village Green the course heads North and onto the great trail system featuring tall pines, aspens and creek crossings. Run one lap for the 5K or two for the 10K. The second lap starts right back in the venue creating a fun viewing area to cheer on the 10K participants. Kids races are on the Village Green proper.
