The Wheelbase Spring Classic starts and finishes in Staveley Mill Yard, near Kendal. There are two great routes to choose from, either the long course which is 70 miles or the short course which is 44 miles. Both routes have been designed to include an early timed hill climb over Shap, supported by Wheelbase.

The fastest male and female up the 1.7 mile climb will receive a riders jersey and the title king / Queen of the Mountain. The short route returns via Grayrigg and the long route via Sedbergh.

The long route is supported with an optional food and hot drink stop in Sedbergh, but don't get too comfy, it's a bit 'lumpy' on the way back and you wouldn't want to stop for too long and let your legs to go to sleep.

Ulverston Triathlon will consist of a 400m pool swim, a 28k road cycle and a 5.8k run.

The swim will take place at Ulverston Leisure Centre. Swimmers will start from 8:30am through to 1.30pm, based upon ability level. You will complete 16 lengths of a 25m pool.

The bike route takes place on the coast road from Ulverston Leisure Centre. It is 28k in length and is an undulating out and back route. The event is non-drafting (you cannot ride directly behind another competitor to shelter from the wind) and you must not ride 2 abreast on the road. The road is not closed to traffic and so you must follow the Highway Code at all times, riding responsibly. The route is adequately signed throughout to guide you and there will be marshals at critical locations.

The 5.8k run is largely road based with a small section of canal towpath. It is relatively flat and is only one loop.

The West Lancs Triathlon takes place from Edge Hill University, which provides the perfect venue. This is one of the most highly rated events for first timers in the North West. All abilities take part including some of the region's elite competitors, but the event has really made it's name as the perfect first time challenge. The 400m swim takes place in the brand new pool facility, the 18.5k cycle is a flat, 3 lap course and the 5k run takes in the trails around campus before finishing on the running track to the cheers of your family and other supporters. It's always a great day and it always fills quickly!

The Clitheroe Triathlon is a challenging course set in the Ribble Valley. It starts with a 400m pool swim, but the real fun starts on the bike as the 30k ride is 'lumpy' and includes the climb up Jeffrey Hill, onto Longridge Fell. The run is relatively flat compared the the bike ride, it's 8k out and back on road and should be enough to make you feel happy about reaching the finish line. We get a lot of novices taking part in this event, but it is more challenging than some of our other sprint triathlon events. Don't let that put you off, it's an EPIC day out!

The Southport sprint and standard distance triathlon attracts triathletes of all ability levels, from complete novices to elite competitors. Based at Waterside Lodge a modern, purpose built two-storey Activity Centre on Southport Marine Lake, it has become one of the biggest local events, reaching maximum capacity every year. The sprint distance event is a 750m swim / 20k cycle / 5k run, the standard distance is 1500m swim / 40k cycle / 10k run. The cycle course takes place on closed roads and the run course is based around the marina on tarmac paths.

Summer 2018 will see Southport Half Marathon return for its 6th and biggest edition to date. We have increased the capacity and increased the entertainment and music on the traffic free route which includes Lord Street in Southport town centre and a start/finish area with live music and entertainment in Victoria Park. The route is the only running event in the history of Southport to be permitted to close Lord Street to traffic and allow participants to run through the heart of this famous seaside resort. On the day we will also be running a free family mile event, with medals for all finishers. We're hoping to make the family mile the biggest event ever and encourage 1000 local children to take part.

The Preston PedalFest Cycle sportive takes place from the beautiful Avenham Park in Preston. It is part of a larger festival of cycling which takes place within the park, so there's lots of family activities throughout the day.

The long route is 65 miles and there's a shorter 37 miles option. Both routes leave Preston and follow the river Ribble towards Whalley, but soon split, with the shorter route heading to Longridge and then returning to Preston.

The long route continues to Dunsop Bridge and the Trough of Bowland, which is both stunning and challenging!
