Relish Running Races

Relish strive to put on the very best, family and beginner friendly events in the most beautiful and unique locations. We offset the CO2 from our events as standard, including runner's travel to and from the races, by planting trees.

A truly special race that not only takes in many of Bath's beautiful attractions but also has the longest underground sections of any running race in the UK!

Cutting right under the city of Bath, the two tunnels offer a truly unique running experience. The Somerset & Dorset Railway closed in 1966 and until April 2013 the tunnels have been sealed and inaccessible. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Two Tunnels Group and Sustrans over 7 years, the two tunnels now have a new lease of life as a shared use path. The first tunnel; The Devonshire Tunnel is 408m long and the second Combe Down Tunnel is 1672m long. Both tunnels are well lit and well surfaced and have recently been converted into a shared use path for the enjoyments of runners, walkers, and cyclists looking to make the most of the city whilst remaining a flatter ground.

With a marathon, 3 different half marathons, 2 different 10kms, 5kms and 500m races there are events for all the family, and if they are not taking part, bring your friends and family to cheer you on; our start and finish will be in Brickfields Park in the middle of the city. A green park complete with children's playground and table tennis table, a great spot to sit and enjoy a picnic after the race.

Step back in time at the wonderfully preserved National Trust Village of Lacock. With its central grid of four streets, Lacock today looks much like it did 200 years ago. Its oldest house is older than the thirteenth century abbey but since the loss of the village's main source of income from wool in the nineteenth century, new development has been minimal.

The Cheddar Gorge Challenge has been taking places for the last 4 years across a series of summer dates. This year we are focusing on one date as we continue to expand our race series to new locations.

We have a NEW start/finish location, with accessible parking just a short flat walk to registration and the start line. The routes will remain largely unchanged as we are able to jump onto the existing routes from our new base, though as we are effectively starting mid way round the old courses, you will see the route in a differnt and arguably less hilly light.

NEW for 2017, the Cheddar Gorge Challenge in joining the National Trust's South West Outdoor Festival (SWOF). This is a celebration of everything outdoors with trail races, sportives, camping, live music, guest speakers, food foraging, axe throwing (not in the direction of the runners...the race is tough enough) and many others activities taking place across the long weekend of 8th - 10th September 2017.

Eastnor Castle is the home of the Land Rover test centre, over 60 miles of trails wind throught the deer park and woodland, which put the vehicles and drivers through the toughest of paces. We will be making the most of the terrain as it lies, picking the muddiest trails the estate has to offer. There will be a few natural obastcles, fallen trees to navigate, gullies to cross and of course, lots of mud to roll in! Between the mud, there are some good hills, but like all our events, everyone is always most welcome to come and take part.
