Road Cycling Events in Bristol

The Wadworth Brewery Sportive starts at the wonderful victorian brewery situated right in the heart of Wiltshire. The sportive takes you through the beautiful North Wessex Down, an area of outstanding natural beauty, along winding country lanes and past stunning little villages. This Sportive has two distances of 25 and 50 miles to accommodates all abilities!

Bike Bath championed by Redrow Homes is a day of marked rides of 25, 50 and 80 miles taking in the best scenery in the city and the surrounding countryside. We are delighted to announce the support for the event from Bath based Velo Club Walcot, a huge thank you to their members.

Cycle from one iconic city to another! This long weekend trip begins in Bath where youll cycle through the historic city of Salisbury to Portsmouth. Here youll cross the English Channel on an overnight ferry and ride through the rolling countryside of Northern France. Well soon reach the outskirts of Paris, ride down the Champs Elysees and around the Arc de Triomphe, finishing under the magnificent Eiffel Tower. You then have a free day to explore Paris before making your way back to the UK where the More Adventure team will drop off your bicycle and luggage at a prearranged location and time in Bath.

Cycle some of the less-known roads and lanes of the Mendip Hills on this 100K ride.

We think you'd be hard-pushed to find a better ride in this area! Starting in the idyllic village of Didmarton, we're all set for a scenery-rich day in the saddle. The route heads towards the river Severn before looping back towards the Water Park, with an abundance of quiet roads, traditional stone buildings, and beautiful Cotswoldian villages along the way.

This is one of our flatter rides and is a great chance to get out in the Great British Summer and clock up some miles.

The Saddleback Sodbury Sportive is must do sportive for all levels of cyclists. Some wonderful countryside, quiet lanes and beautiful views are there to be enjoyed.

A choice of 3 distances (100 miles, 60 miles or 30 miles) will take riders along well signed (over 700 signs) and marshalled routes. Mechanical support at the start and along the route will be provided as well as a broom wagon to collect struggling riders.

Feed Stations along the route promise to refresh riders with a generous selection of homemade food combining the essential with some treats for those with a little more time to spare. Feed Stations will also have a track pump and inner tubes in case you need to get your tyre back to full pressure or top up on spare tubes.

Returning to Chipping Sodbury there will be free hot food, massages from the experts at the Toll House Clinic and time to relax with a drink from the bar

The Swift Carbon Tour of Wessex is the biggest multi stage cyclosportive in the UK. The cycling cognoscenti have been making the annual pilgrimage to Somerset since 2006 to experience the challenge of riding 3 days back to back while enjoying West country hospitality, and the exceptionally fine food & drink. Expect quintessentially English countryside though the lanes and byways of the South West. Each individual stage has its own unique mix of monuments, history and challenging terrain which sets it apart from other events; add the challenge of riding three days back to back and you have truly unique event. Choose from 322 miles, 224 miles or ride an individual stage which each have a choice of two route distances.

The five-race series on the super-smooth surface will again be sponsored by Kinetic-One. DB Max Precision Timing will provide the results and the lap splits for every competitor. Competitors go off at 30 second intervals at each event throughout the year.

As stunning as it is challenging, the Wiggle Wye Valley Warrior sportive bridges the gap between England and Wales and gives you the best views, climbs and cycling roads of the border towns and villages of both states.

Starting out from Chepstow Racecourse, youll head for one of the main attractions straight away as youll tackle the hills of the Wye Valley first of all. Following the River Wye all the way, darting left and right as do the roads youre sure to enjoy the ride alongside the water. Sit up and absorb the stunning cliff faces and river below before criss-crossing once more and heading into England.

Once on the English part of the course, youll enter the Forest of Dean soon after leaving Wales. One or two small climbs wait in the Forests sheltered and remote roads, but they shouldnt make you too uncomfortable to enjoy the tranquillity and wilderness along the wooded roads.

Heading up through Ruspidge, youll bear left at Nailbridge and head west once more. Around Upper Lydbrook, youll meet the River Wye again and pass over it, although much closer inland compared to before. The winding country lanes continue, as the undulating terrain around the Welsh and English border will keep pushing you along on up-and-down sections.

Crossing the River Wye yet again, youre back on Welsh soil and on the home straight, although theres still time for a sizeable loop to harness the unique rolling hills in the area. The last couple of hills might smart with tired legs, but youd expect nothing less on such a comprehensive border-crossing tour of the valleys.

Sportives don't get much more stunning than this ride through the Mendips Hills. Consistently voted as one of the best locations for cycling in the UK, the route dips into Cheddar Gorge which possesses a beauty, and a climb, that will take your breath away.

A 100K or 50K cycle sportive to raise funds for Youth Action Wiltshire taking riders on a scenic route around Salisbury Plain and the beautiful Avon Valley before returning to Devizes.

The V12 Sportive is a new and exciting open road cycling event starting and finishing on the iconic Barry Island resort, South Wales. There are two distances to conquer with some demanding climbs (it is South Wales after all).

The 100m GF route will take you east from Barry, along the coast to Newport and then over Caerphilly Mountain. You will then head towards the valleys where you will get to ride over one of the nations favourite ups The Bwlch. Youre then heading back to the coast where you will loop around to finish on the prom where you will be awarded your medal.

A new addition to our sportive calendar for 2019 will see The Wiltshire sportive take place another visually stunning cycle Sportive.

With a date picked to ensure the ride takes all it can from the summer the event is a semi tough challenge with a few climbs along the routes.

With up to three aid stations dependant on your route choice and on course support , you ride, we will help you finish.
