Welcome to London's Flattest Course! All on road and path inside Kew Gardens.

Take on one of London's most exclusive runs - passing through leafy Kew Gardens and alongside the beautiful river Thames. Join our team for this autumn riverside run and help fund our life-saving heart research.

This is the only time you can ever run in the World Heritage Site, Kew Gardens! London's most exclusive race starts inside Kew Gardens and finishes in an all-day family festival in Old Deer Park.

The Richmond Family Mile is a funrun for all ages. This is NOT a race and the intention is to allow the whole family get involved (especially children). There is NO time limit for entrants. Every runner with a bib receives a RUNFEST triangle medal and NIKE Tee shirt at the end.

The Borough of Richmond Upon Thames is the most uniquely beautiful part of London given its essential character, history, significance, and its gifts of nature. It is only right that Richmond Upon Thames should have a unique day to celebrate all the wonders this borough has to offer.

For the Sunday events, Bone conduction headphones are the only earphones that are approved for use in road races under the UKA rules of competition.

We are using the same timing system (ipico) as the Virgin Money London Marathon uses so your results are in reliable hands. We hope to get the results out as soon as possible.

We have a restricted time limit for the first 2 miles. You are requested to be able to run this in 30mins. This includes any entrants starting late so please do not be upset if we do not allow you to start if you turn up late.

The full Marathon has a further time restriction of 5 hours due to a time limit at Hampton Court Palace. We apologise for this inconvenience, this is the Palace’s rule that we must abide by.

    • Did the Kew Gardens 10K in 2018

The event was well organised and the route was great although some parts were a bit narrow. The medal and finishers t-shirt were great quality (a proper nike t-shirt that I have since worn many times). Runners and their friends and family can spend the day in Kew Gardens for free.
    • Did the Marathon in 2017

This was my first marathon! I loved it and I'll definitely be back for more. The course was lovely - starting from Kew Gardens, you go along the river to Hampton Court and then back the other side. Some of it is on trail so it's not a great one for quick times, but for a marathon in London, it's nice and varied and scenic. The one annoying thing was that the marathon and half marathon routes join up towards the end, so I was having to run around lots of other runners when I was completely spent, and when the course narrowed. But on the whole, great day and I'll be back.

Can you please tell me if the marathon is certified as a qualifying marathon for the Boston Marathon? Thanks.

Hi there. Just to let you know the Richmond Marathon can be a qualifying race for Boston. It is accurately timed, the results go up on Runbritain, and can also be seen on the Power of 10. Good luck!
