Take advantage of each stop along the vineyards to savour and discover new tastes of apples and brooms in the renowned wine of the region : a well-deserved moment of passion sharing. Anjou Vélo Vintage promises you a very pleasant tourist tour and a fun amusement on this 100% path route !
Anatole Laguibole
Towns and villages traversed:Saumur, Dampierre sur Loire, Souzay-Champigny, Parnay, Montsoreau, Fontevraud, Turquant, Parnay, Saumur.
More than yesterday but less than tomorrow, handlebars and legs are back in the hilly landscapes of the famous vineyard path. Between the Loire River and the troglodytic architectures get ready for a spectacular journey with 2 departures !
Your faithful sidekick Anatole Laguibole intends to turn you upside down with novelties as he is used to distilling every year, indeed he still has some in reserve!
2019, a turn of events ! Anatole’s double joins the front of the peloton. Having explosive legs or numbed legs yet you will have one objective : improve your pedal stroke while discovering an exceptional vineyard between tradition and modernity. In the course of a well-deserved break, you will savour the fine, sparkling, fruity and gourmet local flavours : they are the ones which will give the tempo of your route.
In front of the major tourist and historical unique places of our region, the outline of this incredible excursion unfolds before your admiring eyes.
Marcel Enselle - Difficulty 3/5

The expert leader, Marcel Enselle is planning a made to measure route for the cycling amateurs lulled by the cadences of birds’ tweets and bucolic fragrances.
Gripping your Penny-farthing, glued on your old bicycle or arms outstretched on your tandem join the pack or relive with passion yesteryear cycling.
Rapidly or slowly set forth this route for a unique trip at the south of the Loire. Cycle across the vast stretches of land, admire the charm of the small villages, the beauty of the local heritage, the grandeur of the vineyards, … : such a beautiful kingdom for your old bike ! At the end of the route, wine estates and Saumur cellars will welcome you with open arms and numerous sweet specialities to taste.
Authentic 1868 - Difficulty 5/5
The cities you’ll go through: Saumur, Saint-Martin-de-la-Place, Saint-Clément-des-Levées, Vivy, Neuillé, Blou, Vernantes, Vernoil-le-Fourrier, La Breille-les-Pins, Brain-sur-Allonnes, Allonnes, Varennes-sur-Loire, Montsoreau, Turquant, Parnay, Champigny, Saumur
When the asphalt fades away to give way to the white paths, the spirit and values of years gone by can come back to our minds. Put your shoulder to the wheel and set the fire on the gravel road to devour the bumps and live your Authentic 1868 adventure.
On the off-road paths, today’s cyclists rush towards yesterday’s cycling : its soul, codes and figures. Among the wooden landscapes, the marshy valleys or the untouched countryside relive the appetite for effort and the pleasure of commitment during a daring epic.

Early riser or rather late riser, the duo Jean-Guy Lèvetôt and Jean-Guy Couchetard was very successful last year. Braces adjusted and moustache neatly trimmed, the Dondroit Brothers offer you, once again, a nice tour along the Loire.
Pedal with the wind while watching and listening to the sumptuousness of the landscape. Between the Loire River, bargeman villages, troglodytic architectures and fine sparkling wine cellars, discover a selection of the most beautiful sites of the region.
