Route information

This event is in an incredibly special location. The Paraty region of the Rio de Janeiro state has a mix of coastal capes, bays, headlands, coves and river estuaries as well as serious mountains of Serra da Bocaina and lush forests.
The 100 Mile and 100k routes will visit the protected areas of Parque Nacional da Serra da Bocaina.
The distance of the Kids Race will be dependent on the age of the athletes.

  • 7 and 8 years = 200m
  • 9 and 10 years = 300m
  • 11 and 12 years = 400m
  • 13 and 14 years = 800m

Participation Requirements
Please familiarise yourself with the rules and regulations, specifically the requirements for the distances you're running.
Age Requirements
  • 100 Mile runners must be aged 18 and over
  • 100k runners must be aged 18 and over
  • 55k runners must be aged 18 and over
  • 21k runners must be aged 15 and over
  • 10k runners must be aged 15 and over
  • Kids Race runners must be between 4 and 14 years old

What happens if I get injured along the Camino do Ouro route?
There will be a rescue team at the ready to collect you if you are injured and cannot continue with the run.
Will there be aid stations along the Camino do Ouro routes?
Yes, there will be aid stations for the 55k, 100k, and 100 Mile routes. These will be fully stocked with hydration and nutrition.
How old to children have to be to take part in the Camino do Ouro Kids Race?
Children as young as 4 are able to take part in the Kids Race. The age of the child will determine how far they will run: 4 years = 50m; 5 and 6 years = 100m; 7 and 8 years = 200m; 9 and 10 years = 300m; 11 and 12 years = 400m; 13 and 14 years = 800m.
