Route information

The Paris Marathon is considered one of the most beautiful running courses in the world.
The race starts on the Champs-Elysées, firstly heading toward the Place de la Concorde, then past the Tuileries Garden and the Louvre. The tour continues past the Place de la Bastille and through Paris' largest park - Bois de Vincennes. Participants make their way back into the city, along the Seine River, winding through Bois de Boulogne before emerging on Avenue Foch towards the finish line, a stone's throw away from the Arc de Triomphe.
This event is famous for incredible spectator support and an amazing atmosphere (including musical groups on course).

Event day logistics

Please ensure you arrive at the start line with plenty of time spare, and check your starting time. Bring the bare minimum with you, and pay attention to any announcements made over the PA system.
Starting Area
There are 10 different starting waves based on category & expected finishing time. Please ensure you are positioned in the correct starting area on race day. This information will be communicated with you before race day in your race pack.
Refreshment Stations
There are 8 stations along the course, serving snacks and drinks to fuel you to the finish line. There will also be toilets near each station.
