Route information
Day 1: Glastonbury - Bruton
Heading out of Glastonbury you will take on the Glastonbury Tor which is approximately 518 ft of climbing providing magnificent views from the summit. From there you will trek through many rolling fields and country lanes. Following the Celtic path, you will then end up in the great town of Bruton.
Day 2: Bruton - Warminster
This day you will experience some tough climbs along the original pilgrimage trail. There will be some hilly sections as you follow the ancient paths across a multitude of terrain. The hike will be tough but will reward all with fantastic views.
Day 3: Warminster - Berwick St James
Following the Pilgrimage route North East, you will wind through the beautiful countryside. Tackling some hills around the chalk plateau, you will then head out towards Knook Castle. Take in the fantastic sites of some of the best-preserved Roman villages. On this day you will be joined by an expert to teach you about the original settlers and archaeology.
Day 4: Berwick St James - Stonehenge
The final stretch will take you through some fantastic scenery of the Salisbury plains. Take in the vast grassland, Hillforts and climb to the finish at Stonehenge to celebrate the conclusion of the challenge.

If you are driving to the event the organisers can arrange 4-days parking for participants, included in your costs. Please contact the organiser in advance. From there, there will be a coach to the start location at St Dunstan's car park in Glastonbury.
By Car
From the M5 - Take Junction 23 and follow signs to Glastonbury.
From the M4 - Either follow M4 until the M5 exit and follow the above directions or take M4 Junction 18 (A46) and follow signs to Bath, then take the A367 towards Shepton Mallet, then the A361 to Glastonbury.
From the M3 - Take M3 to Junction 8 (A303), head along until you reach either the B3151 (signs to Glastonbury and Street), A37 (signs to Shepton Mallet, picking up signs to Glastonbury).
By Train
The closest train station to Glastonbury is Castle Cary, which is located on the London Paddington to Plymouth line.

The private coach will follow you all the way throughout the event and you will have access to the vehicle at every rest stop.
It is recommended to carry a small day bag with you as you walk, to keep your water bottle, phone camera and other personal items you may need.
