With stunning trails and a beach finish, this is a hugely enjoyable trail running event. Run, walk, or stroll around the course, and join in with a big celebration on the beach afterwards to celebrate the 4th of July.

Run To The Beach Lake Tahoe routes

Starting at the North Tahoe Regional Park, the 5K course is flat and fast, while the 10K run includes a challenging climb, before the route finishes on the beach.

Raceday Logistics

You can collect your race number and shirt on Friday 3rd July 1-3pm at 210 Grove Street in Tahoe City.

Saturday 4th July:

  • 07:00 - Check-in and registration opens in North Tahoe Regional Park
  • 08:00 - Check-in and registration closes
  • 08:30 - Race Starts
  • 08:50 - First race finisher expected
  • 10:00 - Prize-giving
Volunteers

Volunteers can earn a free race registration of their own. In return for volunteering a minimum of 4 hours, you will receive:

  • $10 of Big Blue Adventure Bucks for future events
  • Event SWAG
  • Food and drink
  • Awards ceremony and afterparty

Volunteers must be older than 17, or accompanied by an adult/guardian

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Youth/Senior mean?
Youth runners are those aged 18 and under. Senior runners are aged 62 or older.
Can I purchase tickets on the day?
If the event has not already sold out, tickets can be purchased on the day at an extra cost of $5.
Can I wear headphones?
It is not encouraged to wear headphones, both for your own personal enjoyment of the race and for the safety of your fellow runners. Running without headphones will allow you to appreciate the race environment, build camaraderie with other runners, and hear instructions and encouragement from volunteers.
Are dogs allowed?
No dogs are allowed on the course. In the venue area, dogs are permitted but should be kept on a leash at all times.
