Spartan Race – Sacramento - Super & Sprint Weekend routes

Super Distance: 8 - 10 Miles with up to 29 Spartan Obstacles

Its not The Beast, but it is still beastly. This Super distance Spartan race will knock you down and drag you through the cold wet mud before you have a chance to shout "Sparta". The second race in the Spartan Trifecta, this will leave you with no choice but to tackle The Beast.

Sprint Distance: 3 Miles with up to 23 Spartan Obstacles

Do not mistake "Sprint" for "easy", this race might be shorter than the others but it'll test you just the same. The perfect entrance for Spartan beginners, but by the 23rd obstacle will have you wishing you had signed up for the Super. This will give you the first piece of the Spartan Trifecta, proof that you are made of steel.

Hurricane Heat: A Team Event like no other

There is nothing quite like this team-based event. No chip. No times. Just teamwork. This event is all about getting your whole team across the finish line, leaving nobody behind. Taking place on the Friday evening, this gives participants a chance to experience the classic Spartan obstacles without the pressure of race-day.

Kids Race:

Back in Sparta, training started from a young age. This is no different, bring your little ones down and harden them up. These races are designed for children, so fear not the dangers of The Beast.

Spartan loves spectators so bring your friends and family to watch as you kick ass and get hard as nails. Usually, the fee for spectators is $25 when purchased on race day with children under 13 going for free.

There is plenty of entertainment on the grounds, with food stalls, raffles and other festivities to join in. Better yet, why not sign up for a race and get involved.

As a Spartan Race Volunteer, you will ensure that the racers and spectators have an epic experience. Along with a sense of extreme pride and sheer joy from helping out a ton of people you've never met before, there's a lot to gain from becoming a Spartan Volunteer.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can spectators get on the course to watch?
As for roaming the course or watching each obstacle, each course will have different restrictions. On some ski mountains, you can take a ski lift to the top where there will be obstacles to watch. At ALL events, the festival area is situated within sight of at least 6 obstacles where you can catch your family and friends.
My Junior Spartan(s) are in the Kids Race, do I need to purchase a Festival Pass?
Each Kids Race registration includes two free Festival Passes per FAMILY. If you have one child registered, you'll get two free passes. If you have two children registered, you'll still only receive two free passes. There is no need to register these spectators online ahead of time - just show up with your mini-spartans and check in with them at the Kids Race registration line.
What can I bring into the race with me?
You'll want to check the Athlete Guide and/or Event Page for your specific event for any special guidelines on what you may/may not bring into an event. However, as a general rule, outside food and drink, coolers, and tents are not allowed. You are welcome to bring folding chairs, backpacks, etc.
What is included in the 'fees'?
The additional fees at checkout include racer insurance, and payment processing fees that the event organizer has to incur.
