Super Distance
Super Distance
10k and 25+ obstacles. There’s nothing mediocre about this middle distance race. The Spartan Super offers the ideal blend between distance and speed. Offering racers a true athletic test. If you consider yourself a more seasoned athlete determined to push beyond excuses, you just might have the mettle for a Spartan Super. Serving up 24-29 Spartan Obstacles and 8-10 miles of rugged terrain, the Spartan Super spares no one. Developed as the second race in the Spartan Trifecta, the Super is where you prove to yourself you’ve got everything it takes to face the Beast.

Sprint Distance:
5k/3miles and 20+ obstacles. The Sprint is Spartan's shortest distance race, but it’s still a favorite for both new and regular racers. If you're just starting your Spartan journey, it's the perfect distance. In the 3-5 mile course, there will be over 20 obstacles to contest with, so there's plenty of variety.

Spartan Race isn't just for adults. Spartan Kids Races offer two distances for the little Spartans in your life. Based on age, our Kids races have obstacles in them just like the grown up versions. Come watch your future Spartans run, jump, and play just like they're supposed to.

FAQs
Will there be photos taken at the West Virginia Spartan Trifecta Weekend?
5-7 days after the event, the event page will display professional photos from the event completely free of charge! You will be emailed when your personal photos are ready.
Can I skip an obstacle? Is there a penalty?
No, skipping obstacles is not part of the Spartans' ethos. Obstacles are there to be overcome.
Spartan races strongly discourage skipping obstacles without at least giving them a try, as it is unfair to others that do attempt them.
However, if there is an obstacle that you simply cannot overcome despite your effort and you NEED to miss it out, the forfeit is completing a set of burpees before you are allowed to move on. That can add up to a lot of burpees if you have to miss every obstacle, so come with a positive mindset that you can overcome any obstacle on the course.
Can I take part in the West Virginia Spartan Race as a team?
Yes, a lot of teams take part in Spartan races in the Open heats. There are discounts and offers available for teams, so get a group of friends together for the challenge! Your friendship might be tested in some of the difficult stages, but it will be stronger than ever afterwards once you've been through it all together.
Why not sign up with a team from work and show off in front of your employees or your boss? The mud, hills, and obstacles will be a great scene change from the office desk. There is a special corporate package, giving an amazing opportunity to boost team morale.
Teams must have at least 4 members in order to qualify for team rankings.
