Ben trained hundreds of runners to successfully complete their first marathon. Those of us who benefited from Ben's inspiration and guidance want you to join us in a memorial run in his honor, on some of the same routes Ben led us on for 20 years. We want to see Moore's Marines "Graduates" wear their shirts to be eligible for special awards. Proceeds from the race will go to the Anne Arundel County Auxiliary Police who Ben was a part of for many years, Chesapeake Hospice House who provided compassion and support for Ben and his wife, Betty; the and Rude Ranch Animal Rescue. New beneficiaries this year will be Special Warfare Operations Foundation to support retruning Special Forces personnel. The Annual Mulberry Island Half Marathon and 5k Run takes place on Fort Eustis, an active Army installation and half of Joint Base Langley-Eustis. The Half Marathon starts on Lee Blvd, runs along the James River, past the historic Matthew Jones House, along the side of The Pines Golf Course, and ends in front of Anderson Field House. You'll be motivated throughout the entire course by volunteers, Active Duty military members, and will get to see what a real Army installation looks like.

The annual C&O Canal Towpath Marathon and Half Marathon is back! The marathon will start at 7:30 AM. There are two starting waves for the half marathon. The first wave of half marathoners will start at 8:00AM, and the second wave of half marathoners will start at 8:30AM. This event will take place in its entirety in Washington, DC. The start/finish is located on the C&O Canal Towpath at the parking area at the Abner Cloud House and The Boathouse at Fletchers Cove, 4940 Canal Road NW, Washington, DC 20007.

This is NOT your normal "Run in the park". This course was developed to give the experience trail runner something to get excited about and the novice runner a great sense of accomplishment. The course has everything that a true trail race should have. There are open grass fields, fast ridge line single tracks, technical rocky/rooty up hills, minor stream crossings, flat straightaway's ,fast tricky down hills , and < 1% is run on concrete. Plus, a water stop at the half way point for the 10k and 3 water stops for the 21k. I guess I shouldn't mention that there is 1000ft of elevation gainin the 10k and close to 2,000 for the 21K...as a trail runner, you should LOVE to climb!!

The seven-mile Chessie Trail, situated at the southern end of the Shenandoah Valley, parallels the scenic Maury River and connects historic Lexington, Virginia, with the boom-town community of Buena Vista. The smooth gravel and grass trail runs along the former Chesapeake and Ohio rail line and parts of the earlier James and Kanawha Canal towpath. Youll run through an ever-changing landscape along the wild Maury River, through farmland and leafy canopies at their peak of fall color, past ruins of massive stone locks and dams. View wildlife from fish and ducks to rabbits, wild turkeys, and even bald eagles (if you are lucky), feel the cool moist air as you pass small caves, and enjoy the serenity of a breeze rustling through a bamboo forest.

The Blackwater Canyon Half Marathon will take place on the Blackwater Canyon and Allegheny Highlands Trails running from Thomas, WV to Mill Race Park in Parsons, WV. Please join us for this epic event in support of the Highlands Trail Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to trail development in the Potomac Highlands of West Virginia.
The Blackwater Canyon Half Marathon is a point-to-point race. The trail is made of pavement, dirt, and crushed stone. The race course will descend about 1300'. The 9:00 am race start is located on the rail trail below First/Front Street in Thomas, WV. The race finish is in Parsons, WV. At 8:00 am, a bus will transport runners from Parsons to the race start in Thomas.
This race is 95% on paved and shaded trails! It starts in down town Herndon, on the town green. This year the HerndonHalf is a there and back again race. First traveling up the W&OD trail, then along a short portion of Herndon Parkway and up Folly Lick Trail, across into Sugarland Run Trail and then back.
