Route information
This is one of the most gruelling races on the planet. Over the course of 5 marathons in 5 days, runners will take on the remotest highway and with the harshest weather conditions.
The weather can vary from a hot 30 degrees to hail and snow storms. At night the temperatures can dip to -10 degrees.
The difficulty level only increases when you consider the average altitude is 4000m, oxygen levels are 50% and there is a total elevation gain of 3410m.
It is not all pain and exertion. Runners will also be treated to some of the best and remotest scenery that India has to offer. It is said that every curve on the road holds a new treat for the eyes.
