Route information

The TCS Mini London Marathon is a free event that invites schools to bring their children and young people to run, jog, walk, or wheel in the heart of the capital.
We want as many children as possible to be able to take part, so there is a one-mile event for children in Reception to Year 7 and a 2.6K route for those in Years 4 to 12 who can go a bit further.
The flat course loops around St James’s Park, starting at Horse Guards Parade and following Birdcage Walk past Buckingham Palace before finishing on The Mall. The 2.6K route adds an out-and-back stretch along Constitution Hill. Every participant crosses the same iconic Finish Line as the TCS London Marathon.
Accompanying adults will need to join children in Reception to Year 2 on the course, with a minimum ratio of one adult for every six children.
Please note we can only accept applications from school staff members for school applications.
A message from our partner, The Body Coach Foundation
The Body Coach Foundation is a charity that aims to boost the physical and mental health of communities all over the country. It offers grants to organisations such as local sports clubs, youth clubs, local community projects and smaller charities across England, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland that exist to help improve people’s physical and mental health. The Body Coach Foundation is about more than just fitness - it's about building a healthier and happier world together.

What's included

• Finisher medal (please note that accompanying adults won’t receive a medal)
• Our title partner, TCS, gives schools £10 for every participant who finishes the event
