About

A crossing of the beautiful Isle of Anglesey - East to West, and a race against the sun!
This 55k starts at the beautiful Traeth Lligwy, and takes in the summits of Mynydd Bodafon, Mynydd Eilian and Mynydd y Garn - with the route using the waymarked national trail, the IOA Coastal path for large parts, with deviations inland to reach each of the peaks. The finish line is at Church Bay, on the West coast. The route is fully marked, and is navigationally straightforward.
This is a linear route, and a coach seat can be booked to take you back to the start point, if needed.
The event has a generous 12 hour time limit, meaning that it's within reach of fit walkers, as well as ultra runners.
We get things underway at sunrise, 6.30am and the goal is to reach Church Bay by 6.30pm, at the time of sunset - the sun followign you westwards, as you go!
The route is not flat and the great majority of competitors can expect to do a fair amount of walking - with the 1595m of ascent providing a challenge and giving you some fantastic views of land and sea.
All runners shall receive a bespoke wooden medal and certificate at the finish line, and will take away memories of a great day out on this beautiful island!
