Get ready to take over Basildon with a fast, flat and fully road-closed Half Marathon through the heart of the town.
The one-loop course gives runners the perfect opportunity to settle into their pace, chase a personal best and enjoy a brilliant race-day atmosphere from start to finish. With closed roads throughout the route, you can focus on your running and make every kilometre count.

Put your Summer training to the test at the Basildon Half Marathon taking place at the Basildon Sporting Village. This event is open to participants of all abilities, whether this is your first half marathon, or you're chasing a PB. Come for the beautiful mixed-terrain course and post-race goodies.

There is no specific event parking on site. We recommend using parking options in the town centre and walking to Basildon Sporting Village. We recommend using parkopedia.com to find a space.
Event day logistics
START TIMES
09:00 am - Half Marathon start
09:45 am - Juniors start
CUT-OFF
Please note there is a 3 hour cut off on this race due to road closures in place
MINIMUM AGES
Half Marathon - 17 years and above
Juniors - any age
BAGGAGE
We will have a secure marquee where you can leave your baggage. We recommend you bring as little baggage as possible. Your baggage tag is attached to your race number, you simply tear it off and attach to your bag. To collect, show your number to our staff and they will help you find your baggage.
TOILETS
Portable toilets available in the event village and approximately half way on the course.
REFRESHMENTS
There will be water provided approximately every 5k in the race, and there will also be water available at the finish along with your post race goodies and medal.
RESULTS
Results will be available here immediately after the race.
