The scenery was beautiful the signs were not as clear as they could be. I was removed from the event due to having aerobars on my bike despite having a medical certificate from my doctor they wouldn’t even look at, I wouldn’t of used the aerobars for gain but so I could actually fuel. We phoned them to mention we had a mechanical and about the car park told gates would still be open but they were locked. I hear the food stations were poor to, far from recommended the route good though,

Enjoyed the range of road and twisty lanes, a couple beasts to ascend, a real challenge as I’d only started cycling last August. Great crew, we’ll organized, loads of update emails really helped. And they ordered a beautiful sunny day! What more could I ask for?

Great route marking and the feed stations had a good selection of food with added bonus of tea and coffee!

They need to tell people when registering for the event it is a no tt bar event. Also I think that if someone has a disability that means they can only fuel themselves by having a bottle on some tt bars then they should be allowed to take part if they have evidence of such a condition. One person in the event team was very disrespectful of my wife’s coach I think he ought to be trained better in customer service or even sacked. This spoilt the event. If it wasn’t for some lovely people we met out on the course who were driving on the road we would still be out on the course . This is because we had some mechanical issues with a bike.We also were told they would keep the gate unlocked to the car park so we could get our car, this was a joke too. As when we eventually got back the gate was locked.I would strongly never recommend going on a beyond events sportive ever again.

Great location, nice vibe at the start and end. Great route without much traffic and relatively flat so a great first 100m to try. Also enjoyed the challenge of going up cheddar gorge. Had a great time.

Hi there. Thanks for getting in touch. There is no issue with you using an e-bike. The Event Organiser requests that you make sure it is charged as they do not have spares. :)
