Boondock Events

It is hilly, perhaps the hilliest 5km and 10km in the South of England. But very beautiful. There really are no cut-off times, and we welcome beginners and seasoned runners alike. The course winds its way through pretty Chiltern countryside before a memorable finish in a stone circle. We are an eco-friendly race and average 4.9/5 stars on Lets do This and 4.8/5 starts on Racecheck. See you at the Blast! The courses are subject to change and run slightly longer than 5km and 10km.

Really fun day out. We took our 2 year old and she also loved it. 

Ran the 5k with my daughter. Everything was organised really well, it was friendly and the course was beautiful. 

Should be called Bradenham 'You'll Have a' Blast! Lovely, hilly, challenging, picturesque event suitable for all. Great organisation & a thoughtful medal. What's not to like?

Very hilly and challenging course but beautiful scenery. Really well marked and marshalled. Lovely inclusive and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. 

Well organised , good communication, friendly atmosphere . Scenic course be it a bit challenging in places . Great event 

Lots of pro’s, so felt a little pressured to really get moving (not a problem just would’ve been nice to had more slower runners bringing up the rear!) . It was my best race yet and first trail run. I loved it and the coarse was really well marked out and stunning scenery.. loved the pick n mix at the end!!

Very much a trial run course. lots of challenging sections. Really good route. Would definitely recommend. Lovely, helpful organisers.

The Bradenham Blast course is a lovely off road course with great views. It is challenging but also a great run with great organisation.

Great course, friendly team and loved the medal! Would be great to have more stalls/ tea/coffee hay bales to sit on for supporters? 

It was certainly a testing course with plenty of ups and downs, but the encouragement from all the marshals was very nice to receive.

Very well organised and the Marshalls were great! Free pick n mix at the end was a great surprise 🥰

Beautiful location, fab organisation - course was a challenge, which is good and the real mix of abilities created a massive sense of camaraderie! Perfect way to spend a Sunday morning

Very friendly event, especially as it was something I’ve never done before. Very well organised and marshals were really helpful and friendly. Great atmosphere too.

Starva recorded 6.42 miles not 6.24.  So longer than 10k

Today’s event was a tough one but I enjoyed it. My main suggestion is to have at least one, if not multiple, food or drink stalls - particularly a coffee “van”; both for the runners but also the spectators. I don’t drink coffee myself but I know such stalls are popular at the races we go to and if there was somewhere to get a burger or a pizza afterwards there would be more of an after party vibe, and we all love to re-feed as soon as possible, even if we end up eating more than we’ve actually earned!!! I’ve been a spectator at many events, sometimes having kids to entertain for the 30-65 minutes whoever I’m supporting, so just having the chance to grab a drink and some good is always helpful - and when it’s a bit chilly a hot drink is always welcome! It was the hardest thing I’ve done in years. So chuffed I finished the race!

All good very enjoyable- well accept for the hills, but I guess that’s what your paying for here. Great views particularly the run down to the finish

Super interesting beautiful course and fantastic organisation.

It was my first race - 5k. The race was well signposted that made me feel comfortable as at the beginning I was a bit worried about it.The atmosphere was really friendly, the podium was my favorite, very original :) and the coffee made me happy too.Thank you for this first race experience!Anna Kiraly

Fab race, epic hills but would definitely do it again!

As this was the first one it was only small. More people would have made for a better atmosphere.A water station along the route would have been great, those hills were killer in the heat.All the marshals were friendly and helpful, from the guys signing in, those along the course, to those starting you off and those at the finish.The cani cross was great to watch!

Very small field. Friendly local event, cross country course really well signed and plenty of marshalls. “Medals” plantable seed bombs nice idea.

Tough course but very pretty. Loved the handmade trophy.  The free sweets were a nice touch. 

It was a fantastic event. They welcomed the dogs and runners very warmly and thought about the welfare of the dogs as ot was a bit warm. We will definitely do this again. 

Run through tranquil woodland and rugged trails at this fantastic trail event from Boondock Events. With outstanding views throughout and 2 distances on off, including a canicross option, everyone will enjoy this run. Come to get your hands on the epic finisher's medal.
