Really enjoyed the race on Sunday, seemed well organised and the support on the course was really good, will definitely be considering doing the full tour of tameside next year!

I love the fact there’s a run in Hyde as someone who grew up there. The route goes a bit wrong when looping through Hattersley. I saw some runners nearly run over when a car pulled out and several other revved their engines in frustration at runners. I think many hadn’t realised they were not on closed roads during this stretch and there were not enough helpers on the course. We were back to the “two class” finisher herding, which makes you feel a bit unwanted if you’ve done anything other than the full tour. I did the full tour last year and everyone got the same on the last day, so all a bit odd? The medals are a bit flimsy, maybe switch supplier. Nice idea with Ron Hill image but mine from the half marathon broke about an hour after I got home and it had been picked up twice. Much preferred the organisation on the half marathon and hope it gets sorted out for Hyde next year. New route away from Hattersley?
