There is a short race of 3 miles primarily for children, although all are welcome and a longer race of 5.4 miles for over 12s. The races start at 7pm and entry costs are £6 and £15 respectively.With a Tug of War, BBQ, stalls and raffle, there is something to make the evening fun for all the family.

Did the race in 2019
I loved this race! Lovely atmosphere at the start and the fact that it is a community based event is really clear in the nicest of ways - the Scout involvement, the WI with their cakes etc - without compromising on organisation and efficiency. The course itself is a mix of road, sandy heathland and woodland and culminates in crossing a river - which is actually really refreshing after a hot, hot run! It's a lovely route. Nice medal too. After the race, there is a tug of war contest which is fun! Burgers and hot dogs and other refreshments were available at the beginning/end and the burgers were really good! Will definitely return next year.
