Take on the adventure of a lifetime with this spectacular race exploring some of South Wales' best trails. Following the Cambrian Way, Offa's Dyke and Beacons Way, you'll cover 100 miles in 50 hours, taking in some incredible scenery. Complete the event in 50 hours to earn your finisher's medal and buckle!

Route information
This 100-mile adventure is set in the mountains and trails of South Wales, with 17,000ft of elevation and 50 hours of running. You'll tackle three incredible trails - the Cambrian Way, Offa's Dyke and Beacons Way - which all offer amazing views and scenery as you run.
Starting from the picturesque town of Abergavenny in Monmouthshire, the route is marked by 8 checkpoints, which will all be stocked with excellent food and drink options and staffed by friendly volunteers.

By Public Transport
Abergavenny Station has direct services to Cardiff, Manchester Piccadilly, Holyhead, Carmarthen, Swansea and Chester.

Age Requirements
Participants must be aged 18 or over on race day to start the race.
Mandatory Kit
  • Appropriate footwear (trail shoes recommended)
  • Water bottles (1 litre minimum in total)
  • Fully charged mobile phone
  • Compass
  • Downloaded GPX/GPS files
  • Head lamp or other light source
  • Survival bag
  • Waterproof clothing (top and trousers, both with taped seams)
  • Warm clothing (down jacket or fleece, hat, gloves, base or mid layer)
  • Backpack

  • Re-useable cup
  • Adequate food reserves (500 calories minimum when leaving the start line/each checkpoint)
FAQs
Can someone else carry my stuff during the Epona 100?
No, all runners must carry their own gear - no pacer or other runner may carry it for you.

Is there a sleep station at the Epona 100?
There is one official sleep station at the Crickhowell Checkpoint at the 56 mile mark. Camp beds and shelter will be supplied, but runners must bring their own blankets, sleeping bags and pillows. Electricity will also be available to recharge your electronics.

Am I allowed a crew or a pacer during the Epona 100?
Crews are allowed at checkpoints but they must stay outside checkpoint tents or buildings as space will be limited. Pacers are also allowed, but you can only have one pacer at a time, and they may not carry your gear for you.
