More markers required and distance marker as well. Man was in a bad way after race and couldn’t find or get any help from first aid as they was on the course so that might need addressed but in all it was amazing

As with the last 2 Ocrs I've done the running/Hill climbing and cold got your energy completely zapped before getting anywhere near the end of the course where you needed it most... They should have the hardest obstacles near the start of the course and the frozen wet and muddy ones at near the finish.. Then more people would maybe have a better chance at completing it all... Just a thought 🤔 xx

If you want a hardship challenge look no further. Probably the best quality race t shirt I’ve had for sometime, better than Spartan and Rat Race. Decent medal too! The pit lane hang out zone is great, soup availability was great too. The course started very strong but personally I feel was a little meh after the car pull area. The slalom running went on far too long and was just tedious and boring by the end. It felt a little thin on the ground Marshalling for some of the obstacles, in particular the log hurdle/climbs up the top of the run just before the carries was unmanned and I saw a guy slip and fall off the side pretty badly. there were no marshals there at all and competitors had to stop to check on him. Unfortunate but could’ve been worse with no help there.

Fantastic event, well organised and the terrain was awesome. Not too challenging but Challenging enough to push you.Only downside for us was the fact that the monkey bars were way too high and some of out team couldn’t complete them. Perhaps lower these or put some sand bags in place at the bottom.CheersJohn

MacTuff is like a family. Alex, Marnie and the crew are always friendly and helpful and go the extra mile. Since I turned up to my first MacTuff training day in 2016 I've always been made to feel welcome, got an enthusiastic hello whenever I've seen them halfway round the course at other events around the country, and felt valued and supported when running MacTuff itself. The atmosphere at their events is always really friendly, the course is very challenging (that quarry gets damn cold in the heights of the Scottish winter) , the obstacles are great fun and with some really unusual ones (thinking of the car pull and American football squad in particular), the marshalling is great (big props to the civvies but especially to the squaddies that are always there), parking's free and easy, and it's generally like how a certain other event near Birmingham would be if it was run with competence rather than negligence, and with the obstacles spread over the course so there's no heartbreakingly boringly long running sections! An absolutely brilliant way to start each January.

the MacTuff group are a real friendly crowd. Parking at no extra cost, good access. Come along and meet the gang. I've felt very welcome since running at MacTuff. The obstacles are challenging, yea some tough ones ,but also some fun ones.

100% well worth the trip from NI just to race. Well organised, fablous fun, tough wee course but we'll worth the effort. A number off us made the trip last year, its now been added to the annual trip. List, like Nutts, looking forward to January 2020, will also be returning with the kids for kids race.
