Four Farms Challenge 2026

The 20k, 10k and 5k routes start at the Castle Grounds, Deddington (OX15 0TP / https://w3w.co/noodle.decently.marker)). There is a short on-road section down Castle Street, Hopcraft Lane and St Thomas Street to Chapmans Lane. Here the routes follow a track through Leadenporch Farm at which point the two routes diverge.

The 5k route turns left and follows a bridleway back to the Clifton Road where it joins the pavement back to Deddington and the castle grounds.  

The 10k route carries on via a bridleway across Appletree Farm and Manor Farm into the village of Clifton. In the village, you turn left along a short section of pavement before taking a footpath on the left through Home Farm.  This takes you back across the fields and joins the latter part of the 5k route back into Deddington. The brand new 20k option will be two laps of the 10k route.

The 20k route starts with a lap around the perimeter of Castle Grounds, then follows the 10k route for the first lap. On the second lap it follows the same route for approximately 2km, before diverting at Bowman's Bridge, heading along Long Meadow and then a farm track up to North Aston. After taking in the stunning views of North Oxfordshire, it descends back to the bridge to re-join the 10K route

Make sure that you keep to the designated route at all times and do not deviate from the bridleways and footpaths.  Please do not run on the crops.
