Hackney Legacy Half

09:00 – Half Marathon Starts

Bib Pickup: Participants can collect their race bibs prior to the race. We will announce the date and location when bib pickup goes live via email and our social media channels. Additional race day information will be sent to all registered participants, including key details about the event. We will feature chip-timing for accurate results, which will be available with the bib collection.

To participate in the Half Marathon, runners must be at least 17 years old. There will be a secure bag drop area, but we recommend bringing as few items as possible. A bag tag will be provided along with your race bib number.

Water stations will be available at regular intervals along the course, and refreshments will be offered at the finish line for all runners.

Portable toilets will be available in designated areas in Victoria Park.

For safety reasons, we recommend against wearing headphones during the race. Staying aware of your surroundings is essential, as you will need to listen for marshal instructions and the cheers of spectators. Please be mindful of pedestrians who may be sharing the park paths.

The race will be certified, and official results will be posted on platforms such as Run Britain and Power of Ten.

No Refund Policy.

We do not offer refunds for event entries. All entries are strictly non-refundable in all circumstances unless required by law.Deferral Eligibility & DeadlineDeferrals are offered at our discretion and are subject to capacity. Requests must be made by email to info@legacyraces.co.uk no later than 7:00pm (UK) on 12 October 2025. A small administration fee may apply. Please note that entries booked via third-party platforms (such as Let’s Do This) remain subject to Legacy Races’ own deferral terms.

For standard race entries deferred from this event, it is the participant’s responsibility to contact Legacy Races within 30 days of entries opening in order to claim their place. The deferral remains valid for one year and must be used within that period. If the entry is not claimed and used within these timeframes, it will be automatically forfeited, with no refund or further deferral available. Deferrals are only valid for the same distance, cannot be transferred to another person, and cannot be used for non-Legacy events listed on third-party marketplaces.

The 30-day confirmation requirement and one-year limit do not apply to deferrals granted under the pregnancy and new parent policy. Pregnant participants may defer their entry for up to two years, allowing them to return when fit and healthy. Participants welcoming a child through adoption or surrogacy within three months of the event date may also defer for up to two years. In addition, partners of pregnant individuals with a due date within one month before or two months after the event date may defer for up to two years. In all cases, deferrals remain non-refundable, for the same distance only, and non-transferable to another person. Evidence may be requested.

To request a deferral, email info@legacyraces.co.uk before the deadline with your name, booking reference, and reason for the request. Once approved, it is the participant’s responsibility to monitor our website and socials for the date entries re-open, and to contact us within 30 days of entries opening to claim their place. Legacy Races will not issue reminders. Standard entries must be used within one year of entries opening. Pregnancy and new parent entries may be deferred for up to two years under the terms outlined above.

If the event is cancelled or postponed due to circumstances beyond our control, such as extreme weather, government restrictions or other unforeseen events, we will publish deferral options on our website and socials. Refunds will not be offered; instead, the relevant deferral terms will apply to any alternative date or season that we make available.
