Join in for the first leg of the The Monster Triathlon and get a taste of the Monster Experience. Setting off from Canal Side, Fort Augustus participants will complete a 5km lapped swim in Scottish waters of Loch Ness.

Setting off from Canal Side, Fort Augustus participants will complete a 5km lapped swim in Loch Ness.

Raceday Logistics

Arrive at Loch Ness before 11am on Sunday 30th June 2021.

You will receive a welcome email before the event covering travel, what to bring, maps, directions and so on.

On arrival at the event, each participant will be given a Monster Triathlon Guide – containing detailed maps, tips on safety, emergency contact details and lots more.

Kit List

Wetsuits are compulsory.

As with all outdoor events, it’s wise to dress for all eventualities.

As well as your favourite swimming kit we advise that you pack a change of clothes, towel, sun cream, hats, insect repellent, comfortable footwear.

Is The Monster Swim a competitive event?
While the event is not officially timed, we would love to keep a record of anyone who decides to time themselves.
Is there a minimum age requirement to enter?
The event is only open to people over the age of 18.
What safety measures are there for the event?
The Event Team includes medics, who are on hand to help you with scrapes and bruises of all sizes. They also know all the nearest hospitals all along the route. Before you set off on each day the event, you will be given a briefing – to make sure you enjoy a healthy and safe day.
Do I need a wetsuit?
Wetsuits are compulsory for the swim.
