Route information
Setting off from Canal Side, Fort Augustus participants will complete a 5k lapped swim in the famous and beautiful Loch Ness. Swimming in the Loch will be a memorable experience for any swimmer with its history and incredible surroundings. 5k is an extremely challenging distance to be taken on only be experienced swimmers.

Event day logistics
11:00 Swim starts
*Please arrive at least 45-60 minutes before the start of your race to allow plenty of time to park, drop off any bags you may have, and warm up.
Event Information
You will receive a welcome email before the event covering travel, what to bring, maps, directions and any other information you will need.
On arrival at the event, each participant will be given a Monster Triathlon Guide, containing tips on safety, emergency contact details and lots more.
Age Restrictions
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

Yes there will be safety boats as well as medical support.
Do I have to wear a wetsuit for the Monster Swim?
Yes you must wear a wetsuit for the swim.
What experience is required to take part in the Monster Swim?
With a distance of 5k in open water swimmers must be experienced and have a good level of fitness to take part in this event.
Is the Monster Swim competitive?
The event is not a race, but if anyone times themselves the organiser would love to know the times.
