Here's what races are available for Run the Claydons
The route to the starttakes you down the first ¼ mile of the course, so if you are late you are likely to get caught in the stampede (and get no time as you won’t have crossed the start timing mat).
Those running with their dogs should marshal at the back. You will be started a couple of minutes after the main run. Please ensure you have a fixed lead (1.5mmax)and an adequate supply of pooh bags (the farmer has asked that we ensure no dog poo is left).
The adult route heads back past the village hall and on into Botolph Claydon. Please keep left when the pavement ends. There will be marshals at the junction with Orchard Way to warn of approaching traffic. Cross the junction and turn left into Weir Lane, pass the pond and enter the field through the gate. Cross the field behindthe windsock and follow the Bernwood Jubilee Way footpath across the fields.
At the end of the fields turn right onto the track and then immediately left, following the Bernwood Jubilee Way along the edge of the woods. At the end of the woods (on the lefthand side) the track becomes a bridleway;follow this until you reach the first gate. A marshal will operate the gate to let you through.
Turn right down the farm track (it can be muddy) and take the first right turn on the farm track. If there is livestock in the fields the gates will be manned by marshals. Follow the farm track through the woods and then through the next field. At the far side of the field will be a water station, just after half way.
After the water station turn right onto Three PointsLane and head up to the main road. Marshals will again indicate when safe to cross(turn left and then right). Keeping to the right, follow the road up to Queen Catherine Road and turn right before heading past the entrance to Claydon House and up into Middle Claydon.
After Middle Claydon turn right through the small gate by the church yard and follow the path all the way up the hill. After turning a right hand corner head left across the fields, through 2 gates, before reaching East Claydon again. Exit the field gate and turn right onto Sandhill Road. At the main junction with St Mary’s Road marshals will again indicate when safe to cross
