Route information
Terrain Tarmac roads
The course consists mostly of flat tarmac roads, offering plenty of PB potential! A tricky uphill climb through the Sand Hills arrives in mile two, before you hit the road towards the village of Everton. On the way back into Sandy, you get all the elevation you banked early on in a rapid, sweeping final-mile downhill just in time for your big finish.
Look out for the donkeys just after halfway, and Biggleswade AC's marshals trying to outdo one another in the daft hat stakes!
The course begins on Gosforth Close, Sandy SG19 1RB and ends just outside race HQ.
UKA race licence reference 2023-45597. The event is local authority approved.

Really good flat course. Could have done with some indoor facilities and a closer starting point to the school but understood why this couldn’t be done. Will definitely look to run it again next year

With the discout code I used it was the cheapest race I have ever entered. Great route matshals and plenty of water stops. Only small thing was I started at the back and was a bit disappointed there was only a flat gun start. I'd be happy to scrap the tshirt and have a chip start.

My first organised event locally (previous only experience was the great north run!) and was highly impressed by the quantity, spacing and enthusiasm of volunteers around the whole route. Great to see such good support, and plenty of thanks from runners too. A very friendly event.

Post-apocalyptic Max Max style industrial estate start rapidly gives way to a charming saunter around the bucolic Bedfordshire countryside.Great support from the extravagantly hatted marshalls.Honestly the most comprehensive race briefing notes that I have ever seen.Would run this one again.

Presentations made after everyone had finished which makes a nice change for the runners who are near to the cut off time.

Very good except a little on the cold side for an outdoor HQ for this year. Otherwise very good as always.

Well organised friendly race. Unfortunately no indoor waiting areas before the race. Would be good if the running numbers were posted to runners before the race
