Route information

North London Hospice is excited to be back with our Summer Race the Neighbours. Join this community 10K run through East Finchley and Muswell Hill, with incredible views over London – suns out, runs out!
Please be aware that there has been a change to the route this year.
You can view the route here and join our strava group here
We have two different ticket options:
  • Standard entry - £20 (+ booking fee), minimum sponsorship of £30
  • No fundraising entry - £32.50 (+ booking fee)
People from all fitness levels are welcome, and as always, there will be a pinch of neighbourhood rivalry thrown in for good measure. Plus, in joining your fellow North London Runners, you’ll be raising vital funds for the hospice. Don’t let the sun set on this opportunity - places are strictly limited to 500 entries so register now to secure your spot, all runners must be 16+ to take part. Entries close midday on Friday 27 June 2025.
Who will you be running for?
  • N2 East Finchley
  • N10 Muswell Hill
  • N6 Highgate
  • N22 Ally Pally & Wood Green
  • N3, N11, N12 Friern Barnet, Church End & Woodside Park - NEW
  • N8, N19 Archway, Crouch End & Hornsey - NEW
Feeling competitive? We’ll be awarding prizes to the three fastest male and female runners! And of course, in the tradition of Race the Neighbours, the Cherry Tree Cup will be awarded to the residential postcode with the fastest combined time. N22 Ally Pally & Wood Green were the winter champions… who will chase that summer sun to take the crown?
Not a resident at one of these postcodes? Don’t worry! You are welcome to join us wherever you live and come to ‘just run’!

What's included

All runners will receive:
  • A Race the Neighbours Winter chipped bib (picked up on the day)
  • Water - before, on the course (at 2.5k, 5k and 7.5k) and at the finish line
  • A snack at the finish line
  • A finishers medal
The event proceeds donated to North London Hospice will help us care for more than 3,500 patients with life-limiting illnesses every year, whilst also providing support for their families, friends and carers. Upon registration, you will have the opportunity to create a fundraising page for charitable donations or gather sponsorship. Albeit fundraising is encouraged, it is entirely optional.

Event day logistics

Start time
The run will start promptly at 9.30am on Sunday 29 June. To ensure that you have time to drop off your bag and collect your race number, we would encourage you to arrive by 8.30am.
Race numbers and timing
Race numbers can be collected at the registration desk in Cherry Tree Wood where the race starts and finishes. We are not distributing race numbers in advance of race day. Please do allow time to arrive and pick up your number.
Your race number incorporates a timing chip so in order to receive your final time, it is essential that you wear your race number throughout the run. Individual results will be available at the finish and a full set of results will be sent out soon after the run is completed.
Once you have picked up your number don't forget to write your name and emergency details on the back of your race number. If you can please bring your own safety pins to attach your number to your running vest that would be amazing and save us some money, we will have some spares though on the day.
Bags and toilets
We will have a bag drop-off point set up in Cherry Tree Wood, so you can leave your bag there and pick it up at the end of the race. There are toilets at the start.
