I found the course mainly flat with 2 inclines and run in normal trainers. Some woodland area but paths are good and was cheered on by marshalls around the course. Enjoyable experience and there are toilets and cafe on site.

Car park was a 25 min walk from the finish line. Absolutely froze walking with minimal running clothes on and all sweaty. Finish line closer for the 10k would be great for next year.

I didn’t understand why we had chips but they weren’t used. It was impossible to run for quite a while at the start and it took time to get over the line which I thought wouldn’t matter because I was chipped. I also think it would have been much better to run along the road as there was such a bottleneck along the winding path near to the start. The second lap was fine however. The medal is brilliant and worth running for.
