Very well organised. Great festive atmosphere. Good surface for the winter . If there is a bit of ice, there tends to be more grip than on tarmac but it is ok if wet too.

Have done these races for few years and always enjoyed them but last 2 years moved from 5k to 10K. Always been happy with medals but due to it being nice weather at Easter you oversubscribed and people down from 10K to 5k because of heat. I’m not a fast runner and finished in 1:20 but when I finished I was given last years medal on this years lanyard, you had run out. In the week I emailed the organiser and he informed he was aware of problem and was reordering more to be sent to people who missed out on medal. You should draw the line at the limit of allowed places. Slow runners shouldn’t lose out! Other than that really enjoy the races.

Great course, well marshalled. Plenty of facilities, both medal and pudding were great quality. Parking was plentiful, loads of people in costume. Highly recommend.

One of the most enjoyable runs of the year. Always a fun atmosphere. The organisers are friendly and approachable. Missed it one year as places were all gone. Won't make that mistake again!
