Route information

Take on and conquer all 3 ROC locations, including Snowdon, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis in one year. Covering 300km with a total ascent of 20,615ft including each of the highest mountains of Great Britain, this is the UK’s freshest and most progressive triathlon series challenge.
THE ROC Wales - 8th May 2027
TOTAL DISTANCE: 115KM SWIM: ABERSOCH BAY MOUNTAIN: SNOWDON ELEVATION: 3,330FT TOTAL ASCENT: 5,825FT
Commencing on the golden sands of Abersoch beach, THE ROC WALES starts with a 1.5km sea swim in Abersoch’s idyllic bay before heading off on a 50km fast and progressively undulating bike route into the Snowdon Massif. The race then heads on foot via the toughest route up Wales’ highest mountain along The Watkin Path. Expect 6km of 3,330ft formidable ascent to the summit where you can absorb those exceptional panoramic views before heading 6km back down. This is followed with a 50km return cycle, culminating with a 1km glory run along Abersoch beach before crossing the finish line.
THE ROC England - 4th Sept 2027
TOTAL DISTANCE: 112KM SWIM: WINDERMERE MOUNTAIN: SCAFELL PIKE ELEVATION: 3,209FT TOTAL ASCENT: 6,916FT
Taking THE ROC into the Lake District, this is an opportunity to test your resolve and focus in one of the most inspiring locations in Europe. From the 1.5k swim in Windermere, the 46.5k bike past the iconic Coniston Water and to the summit of England’s highest mountain and back, THE ROC ENGLAND is a race you will thrive on if you love tough rewarding challenges. The 17.5k mountain climb is followed with a 45.5k bike back to Windermere, finishing with a heroic 1k run across the line.
THE ROC Scotland - 2nd Oct 2027
TOTAL DISTANCE: 73KM SWIM: LOCH LEVEN MOUNTAIN: BEN NEVIS ELEVATION: 7,874FT TOTAL ASCENT: 4,265FT
Kicking off in Kinlochleven on the dramatic shoreline of Loch Leven, THE ROC Scotland starts with a 1.5km swim before heading off for 27km on a ‘gravel/mountain’ bike round the north east end of the stunning loch and up into the Glens. Here you will join the old military trail road to Fort William and Glen Nevis Transition at the western end of the Grampian Mountains. The race then heads off on foot up the UK’s highest mountain, with 4,265 feet of intense assent to the summit of Ben Nevis and a 17km total trek up and down.
