Long Route
Distance: 110km
Elevation: 1500m
Percentage of Route Off Road: 65%
This rolling route follows gravel roads and lanes in Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire. The route heads north for 20k along a few climbs before joining the Ridgeway for 50k. From here, it's straight into the backlanes and gravel roads of Wiltshire. Finally, the route follows a quick and downhill finish.
Medium Route
Distance: 70km
Elevation: 900m
Percentage of Route Off Road: 60%
The medium route offers lots of variety and plenty of stunning views. Starting alongside the long route, riders will cut off at around 20k to cover some bumpy terrain.
Short Route
Distance: 59km
Elevation: 600m
Percentage of Route Off Road: 65%
The short heads out into rolling terrain along gravel trails before joining the Ridgeway. From here, it's a quick final section along backroads and gravel trails back to the Newbury Showgrounds.

There will be free parking located at the start line at Newbury showgrounds.
By Train
The closest train station to the showgrounds is Newbury station. From there you can get a bus within walking distance to the showgrounds.

Mechanical issues
There will be mechanics at all aid stations and ride captains to also help with any bike issues.
Bike hire
The organiser will have carbon gravel bikes available for hire from the race village.
Race Village
At the race village, there will be toilets coffee, cake, and lots of food trucks to try.
Feed stations
Feed stations will have water, coke, cake, fruit and sports nutrition bars and nut butter. They will be approximately every 30 kilometres.

The Ridgeway Gravel X starts between 8:00am and 09:30am.
What kit do I need for the Ridgeway Gravel X?
Please bring the following kit: Two water bottles, basic repair kit (inner tubes, pump etc.), a helmet, and of course your bike with 40mm tyres. If you do not have a suitable bike, you will be able to rent one from the race village.
Will there be parking at the Ridgeway Gravel X?
Yes, there will be plenty of parking available located at Newbury Showgrounds.
