Great run. Well marshalled. Beautiful scenery made better with the closed roads. Be weary, this course has some tough sections of long uphill climbs, uneven rocky stairs, woodland surface. Overall though a fun and challenging run.… read more

It is a great course, there was a debate on trails or trainers but I went for a light pair of trails - would stick to that. Great support throughout.… read more

The start line is under Weston pier, but I didn't see any recommended times along the starting area, and ended up starting from the back. Due to the number of people starting, this then meant that I walked across the start-line in the crush, but I soon broke free and managed to get nearer the central pack. The race itself was fantastic - we got lucky with the weather, bright sunshine, and not nearly as cold as I'd feared. The views are incredible, the atmosphere was really friendly and jovial, and the terrain is really varied.A substantial minority of the race is on tarmac, which did make me wonder whether I should have worn my road shoes; however despite the ground being quite dry, I think I would have lamented the lack of extra grip offered by my trail shoes. There's a section around 4-5 miles in where you have steps up and back down - this bit is hard work, but the view at the top near the trig point is well worth it! You might get stuck in a queue of people walking here. There was a really good crowd throughout the race., with lots of cheering, clapping and sweets!… read more

Loved the race despite the hills! Were very blessed with fabulous weather and think it would have been a real challenge for me if it had been raining or really windy! Only disappointment was that after a 10 mile run all we got handed was a Mars bar - not even a bottle of water. Understand about the medal problem which cant be helped but still not received it 2 weeks later. It wasnt a particularly cheap entrance fee either!

Brilliant, I wanted to do this race last year but was worried 10 miles was too much at the time, have since trained and completed a few half marathons so went for it this year. Thoroughly enjoyed it and hit my target time

This is the 4th year in a row that I have run this particular race. It's challenging and I would definitely recommend trail running shoes as quite a lot of the race is off road.

Not having medals for those that have completed the race is shambolic, and I dont accept your excuse that this is beyond your control. you chose your medal supplier, not the race participants, to say this is beyond your control is hard to swallow. your supplier failure is your issue not ours. And to pass the buck in this manner is a poor show. I give you 5 working days to deliver my medal or I will will be reporting this to the office of fair trading for breach of contract.

Have run the Two Bays Tough Ten for the last three years and has been a highlight for me. The one thing that does need to be sorted out is the location of the drinks at the end of the run. This year rather than handing out bottles once youve crossed the finish line drinks were available at the pier. While this Is not a long walk from the finish after 10 tough miles that additional walk and time to get a drink was not welcomed. I also felt for the poor lady who was trying her best to fill plastic cups with water as lots of sweaty and thirsty runners clammered for a drink.

My second time running this course and its definitely one of my favourite events. Its a shame there were issues with the medals (I hope to receive mine soon) but being able to download free race pictures was a real bonus.

The first 1km on sand is energy zapping, the undulating course on the road is mangeble but the trail hills are brutal. Ending on the sand is also hard!

It was a tough course and loved the different bits of the course. Would recommend this run to anybody as I would definitely do it again next year. Great marshalling and fab support all round the course. Just awaiting my medal to prove I had ran it ! Bring on next year

Really enjoyed this race, was well organised apart the problem with the medals and a good course. If you are used to off road running it really isn't tough, if you are a road runner and interested in off road it's a good race to start with.

This is the 2nd time Ive done this event and its fantastic. A great course really well marshalled and excellent facilities at Weston College. A fantastic atmosphere that feels like a local event rather than a big corporate event (I have also done great Bristol 1/2 marothon a few times). Will definitely be back next year.

Two bays friendly five was a multi terrain course, a mile in I picked up a calf injury, but managed to struggle through the rest of the event, starting on the beach with sand, the prom, road, wooded track, road, prom & finishing back on the sand under the pier. The wooded route was the most challenging part of the course which was undulating, most fitness levels could run walk the five mile course, flat running shoes are fine for this course, trail shoes would only benefit the short wooded track, being a multi surfaced event made for an interesting run, with some great views of Weston.

It was a nice run a bit of pointless loop in the woods for a bit of mud. Prefered old finish down on the beach. No water at the finish line. But I will be running again next

The race was just under 5 miles about. 0.2 short on our watches. Great atmosphere and organised fantastically. I didn't know where the water was so perhaps if that was nearer to the finish line. I did get a medal thanks bit it was a tough ten one! Great race thanks we will go next year.

The course was great & well organised as per normal, ran it last year, really enjoyed it one of my favourite runs in the calendar. My only issue which I thought was a little odd was there was no water bottles handed out on the finish line where you need it most and are desperate for a drink of water ?
