Escape the city and take on a day of running through the beautiful Midlothian countryside at Vogrie Country Park.
Set within the grounds of the historic Vogrie Estate, this event takes runners through a brilliant mix of woodland, open parkland and countryside trails, with rolling terrain and changing scenery throughout.
Vogrie is made for this kind of event. With miles of paths winding through the estate, mature woodland, open countryside and the impressive Vogrie House at its centre, the park provides a race-day setting that feels a world away from city running.
Whether you’re trying trail running for the first time, looking for a new challenge or simply want to swap the roads for a day in the countryside, this is an event for runners of all abilities.

Route information
The Vogrie Country Park course takes runners through a varied mix of woodland trails, countryside paths and open parkland within the historic Vogrie Estate.
The route will follow a loop through the park, taking advantage of Vogrie’s extensive trail network and beautiful natural surroundings. Expect a mixture of surfaces, rolling terrain, woodland sections and open stretches, creating plenty of variety throughout the course.
With natural trails and changing terrain, this isn’t about chasing a road PB. It’s a chance to get off the tarmac, enjoy the countryside and take on a different type of running challenge.
The final loop distance and individual race routes will be confirmed closer to the event.

Get full directionsVogrie Country Park is located in the Midlothian countryside, around 30 minutes from Edinburgh and easily accessible by car from across the Central Belt.
On-site parking is available within Vogrie Country Park, although spaces are limited. We encourage runners to car share where possible and allow plenty of time to arrive before their race.
Full parking, travel and arrival information will be sent to all participants ahead of race day.

Bag Drop
A free bag drop will be available within the event village. Please keep personal belongings to a minimum where possible. Opening times will be confirmed in the final event information.
Toilets
Toilets will be available close to the event village and start/finish area.
Water Stations
Water will be available on the course, with runners completing the longer distances passing the hydration point multiple times. Water will also be available at the finish.
Finish Line
After crossing the finish line, please continue moving through the finish area to make space for other runners and collect your finisher medal and post-race goodies.
Race Photography
Our photographers will be positioned around the course and at the finish line. Race photos will be available following the event and are completely free for participants to download.
