An undulating road race along the scenic Lorton valley with fantastic mountain views. The race starts at Lorton bridge and does a loop down to Loweswater, up Scale Hill and back to finish at the school.

The event is in it's 6th year now and it's friendliness and good organisation attracts a good mix of runners both locally and further afield.

A flat and fast City Centre started 10km road race utilising some quieter roads to leave the city beofer a looped return.

The event uses a mixture of park paths and quiet country roads which are generally flat or gently undulating. The road surfaces are generally okay. Caution should be taken at all turns, paying attention to marshals wherever necessary. The route is officially measured 10km route using mainly park paths and quiet country roads.

Run Northumberland Vindolanda 10KHexham, GB

The Vindolanda 10k is a challenging course on local hilly roads starting and finishing at the Roman Fort of Vindolanda near Bardon Mill in Northumberland. Chip timing will be used on this accurately measured route in the heart of handrians wall country. All finishers will receive a medal and an optional race t-shirt is available at extra cost.

Fast gaining a reputation as one of the friendliest trail races in the Lakes, each year we see more and more first-time runners, Nordic walkers and families racing alongside seasoned fell-runners. You can choose a 5.7k, 10k or 17k run or you could join the 10k Nordic Walk.

We have always put the money raised by the Grasmere Gallop to good use, investing it back into our conservation work in the Grasmere and Rydal area. This year, were on a mission to save Grasmeres red squirrels.

Lakeland Trails – KeswickKeswick, Cumbria, GB

Starting and finishing at Fitz Park, in Keswick (CA12 4NF), the 5km Derwentwater Sport Trail, 10km Derwentwater Trail Run, 15km Derwentwater Trail Race and 15km Derwentwater Trail Challenge is a circuit along well marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways, taking in panoramic views of Derwentwater, the surrounding peaks of Skiddaw and Blencathra and the northern fells. Underfoot conditions are generally good for those used to trail running, but expect a bit of everything! The course has no stiles, so there is nothing but the hills and the infamous Glendereterra bogs to break up your rhythm.

A carnival atmosphere is guaranteed for both spectators and competitors, with live music, race commentary, food and drink all available at the start and finish. So, whether you're new to trail running, an experienced athlete, or simply looking for an unforgettable day out in the Lake District, a family-friendly, festival atmosphere and some amazing trail running awaits you!

Lakeland Trails – Keswick
Doonhamer 10kDumfries, Dumfries and Galloway, GB

Dumfries Harriers are delighted to stage the Doonhamer 10k which will start and finish in the beautifully refurbished Dock Park, beside the River Nith in Dumfries. The race will trace the pathways alongside the river and cross the river several times using the Buccleuch Street, Suspension and Kirkpatrick MacMillan Bridge.

The route is 10km route using mainly quiet country roads. There will be a water station at 5km and at the finish. The run will finish directly in front of the racecourse grandstand.
