What you need to know about Running

Running is the world’s most accessible sport. Park runs, colour runs, 5k, 10k, half marathons, marathons and ultras — all you need is a pair of trainers and off you go. Running events are hugely popular on Let’s Do This and it’s a sociable sport, so get some friends involved and achieve something extraordinary.

If you’re starting small, the 5k and 10k events are great fun and definitely worth doing even if you’re training for a bigger challenge further down the line. Getting used to the atmosphere of an event is important. You’re so much more likely to hit a better time if there’s a crowd cheering you on, people in fancy dress and a big celebration at the finish line.

Just a week after the Summer Solstice, the second leg of the 2018 Castle Run Series will take place at Cholmondeley Castle during the long, bucolic days of June. Cholmondeley Castle Triathlon event attracts thousands of competitors and supporters to the beautiful countryside of Cheshire. A scenic summer run starting near the Reigate Hill Car Park in a small field adjacent to the North Downs Way. The course will follow the North Downs Way trail on an out / back route all the way to the Boxhill lookout point, the course will be one out and back lap for the half marathon and two out and back laps for the marathon.The trail is undulating and varied throughout with some lovely scenery along the way too. Course conditions and the weather at this time of the year can be warm so this will be a challenging trail run, with a unique horse brass medal to reward all finishers.

Due to popular demand, the Hever Gauntlet half-iron triathlon will be held bi-annually giving triathletes the option to race alongside the full iron-distance Bastion competitors on 8th July 2018. Whilst these hardy triathletes battle their way around this iconic course, we shall host a further three challenges for those looking for an opportunity to go long.

Over 2,000 adventurers take on the historic path from Bath to Cheltenham - with most walking - others jogging, and some on the run of their life! It's a start by the magnificent Royal Crescent, and then the famous rolling hills with fantastic views towards the Severn Estuary, and idyllic villages nestling in between on an epic 100km journey - with full support and great hospitality all the way to the finish line.

The magical Cotswold Way crosses areas of outstanding natural beauty, with fantastic panoramic views and picturesque villages.
