Our race is being held to bring awareness to the Adams County mentoring program, Project Hope. The program strives to match youth currently or formerly in foster care, as well as others with an identified need in our community, ages 13-21, with a positive, caring adult to coach them in daily living activities, be a listening ear, introduce them to new opportunities, empower them to make responsible decisions, and spend time pursuing activities of shared interest. The 5K will be open to both runners and walkers and will be a timed event.

Nicole Spirit was a 2006 Large Animal Science BA graduate of Delaware Valley University. Upon graduation, Nicole furthered her schooling at Rowan University, becoming a Biology teacher at Shawnee High School. While teaching, Nicole was working towards a Masters degree in Biology. Nicole had a passion for teaching, animals, and health and fitness. She was always trying to further her knowledge in bettering herself, the environment, and those around her.
In honor of her passions, Nicoles family has created a 5k/1mile event that will raise money for a scholarship to benefit students studying at her Alma Mater, Delaware Valley University.

Bryn Mawr Running Company presents the 11th Annual Midsummer 5k Race Series. The 5k race will take place in the quiet and safe neighborhood surrounding South Ardmore Park, Wynnewood Pa on the second Thursday evening of each Summer month. The course will consist of 3 circuits on a slightly rolling course called the Ardmore Loop. Awards will be provided for in each race for overall runners and age groups winners by the Bryn Mawr Running/Racing Company and Brooks. There will also be scoring for those who complete all three races. Runners will accumulate points in overall male/female categories along with their age group categories. The Miles for Michael non-profit organization is a way for family and friends of Michael Joyce to remember this extraordinary man in an extraordinary way. The Run course is relatively flat with some moderate hills. A 5k loop around the perimeter of Pittston includes running over two bridges. The Walk course will be 1.5 miles. Streets will be traffic controlled and miles will be marked. The course begins just north of William and North Main Streets and ends at the Tomato Festival Grounds on South Main Street. Scoring and Timing to be provided by Scranton Running Co.

Join us for the annual 5K for the benefit of Catholic Charities in the Diocese of Wilmington. Did you know that one out of every 10 residents of the Diocese receive at least one service from Catholic Charities each year? The Bishops 5K will bring the community together for a fun event heightening awareness of the Catholic Charities services and provide resources for Catholic Charities to expand its outreach efforts. Runners and walkers will compete to see who makes the best time, and will be awarded some great prizes.
The ZERO Prostate Cancer Run/Walk - Lehigh Valley features a 5K run/walk, 1 mile walk, Kids' Superhero Dash for Dad, and virtual Snooze for Dudes program. Stick around for the family-friendly post-race celebration. Run/walk participants will receive shirts, free food and prizes, and the opportunity to connect with others who are impacted by prostate cancer.
Most of the first mile of the 5K winds through Regent Square streets with plenty of warm, friendly cheers. The remainder of the race is through Frick Parks cross-country trails, with the final stretch heading down the Falls Ravine Trail and ending in Fern Hollow.
The 1.5 Mile Run/Walk takes place on the charming streets of Regent Square. The family dog can also join in on the fun. Dogs may be registered for ONLY the 1.5 Mile Run/Walk. The dog must be leashed and a dog owner/handler must be registered with every dog, no exceptions.
Both races start at the Environmental Charter School near the corner of Henrietta and Milton. The short race starts at 8:15 am and the 5K starts at 9 am.
