Ben trained hundreds of runners to successfully complete their first marathon. Those of us who benefited from Ben's inspiration and guidance want you to join us in a memorial run in his honor, on some of the same routes Ben led us on for 20 years. We want to see Moore's Marines "Graduates" wear their shirts to be eligible for special awards. Proceeds from the race will go to the Anne Arundel County Auxiliary Police who Ben was a part of for many years, Chesapeake Hospice House who provided compassion and support for Ben and his wife, Betty; the and Rude Ranch Animal Rescue. New beneficiaries this year will be Special Warfare Operations Foundation to support retruning Special Forces personnel. Your participation will help maintain the emergency fund that is available to crime victims who are in need of immediate assistance covering the cost of victimization. Every September, the Howard County Police Foundation hosts the Police Pace, a 5K race and 1-mile fun walk and run at Centennial Park in Ellicott City. The Donate Life Family Fun Run has been celebrating the lives of donors and transplant recipients for eleven years. A 5k run and walk, our goal is to raise awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation and celebrate the generosity of donors and their families. Proceeds from the Donate Life Family Fun Run benefit The Living Legacy Foundation of Marylands community outreach and education efforts, as well as our aftercare program and workshops for donor families.

The Annual Mulberry Island Half Marathon and 5k Run takes place on Fort Eustis, an active Army installation and half of Joint Base Langley-Eustis. The Half Marathon starts on Lee Blvd, runs along the James River, past the historic Matthew Jones House, along the side of The Pines Golf Course, and ends in front of Anderson Field House. You'll be motivated throughout the entire course by volunteers, Active Duty military members, and will get to see what a real Army installation looks like.
