A good event. The route was nice and had a variety of scenery. I'd definitely do this event again. Also there was a great selection of cakes in the registration hall.

Beautiful location and thankfully clear crisp sunny day. Challenging course, undulating hills with a difficult climb to the finish - makes it very rewarding course. Very friendly organisers and start/finish and good support from marshals.

3rd year running this race and still my PB for a half. Always well organised and supported. Hats off to all the volunteers who manage the water stations, it was so cold. A tough race but really good for a marathon training session. Will run again next year.

Well organised with a sizable field (400), many of whom were there last year too - says something about the event. Lots of marshalls and drinks stations on an undulating course (250m of climb) - the final mile being a nice sharpener.

Beautiful route around the country lanes, well marshalled and a fantastic array of cake/food after. Only difficulty was the minimal parking but all was done to get everyone parked as best as possible.

Done this race a few times its a great run perfect for lead up to London marathon it certainly is not flat but what do you expect from the west country! Proper old school event ,with strong competitive friendly runners .a must for seasoned runners

Cold! The weather being the one variant that nobody could account for but once the race started it was fine. BV half was my first half marathon and (although unaffiliated to a club) I was impressed by the family atmosphere shared by many, even though I was on my own I received many a cheerful hello. Im glad I did choose this as my first!
