Route information
Play In The Wild UK are heading to Amersham for the final run of 2025, with a Festive Night Trail and a fantastic run for those wanting to experience great trails. We will take you on a Guided Run, aimed at all levels of trail runner - from beginners to experienced. This run offers a wide range of terrains, with some rolling hills to practice some hill running techniques.
We will set off from Amersham and head through Shardloes, Penn Woods and then pick up Chiltern Way through Coleshill, before our final descent to the Old Town to finish.
This is a looped route, of approximately 8 miles, with a number of gradual climbs on the route, but rewarded with a tour of some festive lights around the town and villages in this area.
We shall finish the run with a stop at the Elephant & Castle, for a post-run refreshment.

Trail running is less about pace and more about PEACE, as you take in the beautiful torchlit trails. This run is aimed at all abilities, giving opportunities to explore the deep, dark trails at night and showing how great the trail running community is.

You will run as a group at a relaxed, sociable pace.
