In the very first event from the Running Bee Foundation in the heart of Cheshire, the route on offer will be very scenic. The 10k starts and finishes beside the iconic Anderton Boat Lift and weaves through Marbury Country Park, Anderton Nature Park, and along the banks of the River Weaver.

Friends and family are encouraged to come and watch. Please note that at the Boat Lift, pets are only allowed on the viewing area at the top basin. All assistance animals are permitted.

The Anderton Visitor Centre will be open to the public, including spectators.

The course was a single loop of off road and beautiful surroundings. The people were amazing, the organisers and volunteers were very generous with their free time for our benefit which was very much appreciated. The only downside was that it felt a little disorganised with an unsure start time and last minute preparations. Also we need more w/c. But I would definitely recommend this race to all. Thankyou to all the amazing volunteers.

Really nice course. Maybe stagger start though so there isn’t a 5 minute wait to get up the steps 500 metres into the run.

The start time was 9.30, but we got an incorrect Let's Do This email sent saying it should have been 9am so we had a long wait at the start as we'd arrived very early.In terms of the course, it could have done with having a staggered start, as at about 300m in, there was a set of narrow steps for which the large crowd of runners had to stop and wait for access.Positives - the staff and marshals were all super encouraging and friendly.

A great event - many thanks to all who organised or volunteered.The steps in the first km caused a queue, but otherwise the course was lovely - hardly any of it on tarmac.

The course was a great route on good trail surfaces, some undulations but plenty of flat sections too, rural scenery, friendly marshals and a fantastic backdrop of the Boat Lift and gardens for the race HQ and hang out after. My one recommendation, change the route to exclude the stairs so soon after the start, I was near the front, but I heard there was a bottleneck and runners losing significant time waiting to go up.

The static queue at the steps in the first 1km was not good.....and there were quite a few places where the path was simply too narrow to pass others.....Nice course but not for chasing a PB.
