It was tougher than I expected however well worth the views! It was a great way to experience the beautiful scenery. The volunteers were excellent and I enjoyed doing part of the run by myself (15 mile) and the signage location of volunteers helped staying on course and not getting lost which happened on similar runs. Lastsy loved the last mile to the finish line downhill! Will do it again

First time I’ve done this race and it’s hard! The hardest race I’ve done, felt like an unrelenting uphill climb. I really enjoyed it, such a challenge. Very well organised, lots of friendly, supportive marshalls and a great atmosphere. I think the toughness of the route encouraged some great camaraderie. Recommended!

Trails were tough being on stones and I felt car parking staff could have done with a high viz or something so they stood out compared to the rest of the people.

Challenging but very enjoyable race , lovely atmosphere at the start and finish in the race village, seeing the finish line at the top of the mountain with half a mile down hill to go was really exhilarating and my favourite race finish ever !!! I’ll be back next year

I absolutely love it.I did the last one in 2015 and this time with my daughter.I’m 66 years of age but keep fit and though the Beast is aptly named it’s my favourite.Great atmosphere at the start and throughout with supporters shouting encouragement. The marshalling was excellent and very well sign posted. For me personally it’s the actual challenge of the hardest race on the circuit and to complete it without stopping.I just love the scenery as well and the fact you run down the bed track of an old railway line, pass an old colliery,a turquoise lake and then can see the finishing line in the beautiful ex mining of BrynDiolch to all who made this a fantastic experience for everyone.

I absolutely loved this course - a trail run in beautiful scenery. Brilliantly organised without a stone unturned. Amazing atmosphere - I can't believe how many people were out and shouting my name. My only gripes is that the promised photos are only available through an App and post-event not getting any response to emails or through social media.
