Route description
The swim is an open water (and freshwater) swim in the lake. The bike course consists of a gently rolling route circling the estate, while the run is a scenic offering around the Queen's Pool.
The Sprint Team Relay is a great introduction to triathlon. Teams of 3 will have one member complete each element of the event, eg one member swims, one bikes, and one runs. The 'baton' or timing chip is passed between teammates in transition, then all members of the team will meet and cross the finish line together.
Sprint: 750m Swim, 19.8km Bike, 5.4km Run
Sprint Team Relay: 750m Swim, 19.8km Bike, 5.4km Run
Super Sprint: 500m Swim, 13.3km Bike, 2.9km Run
It is strongly advised that you arrive at Blenheim Palace at 90 minutes before your race time. It will take time to park, register, collect your race pack, and prepare for the event.
Participants need to be at the Swim Assembly point 20 minutes before your race wave is due to take place.
Chip Collection Times:
Saturday 07:45 - 14:00
Sunday 07:00 - 14:00
Start times will be available on the website 2 weeks before the event.
TIMING CHIPS MUST BE WORN ON PARTICIPANTS ANKLES.
*During the swim portion of the triathlon it is advised that you position the chip under your wetsuit.
*For the cycling portion bike numbers must be correctly attached to the bike and helmet being used by the cyclist.
Then participants will rack their bike in the row relevant to their race waves, placing their bike, helmet, and equipment at any marked position on your designated row. There will NOT be individually numbered racks for participants so please remember where you have racked your bike.
In the TEAM RELAY, the timing chip acts like a baton relay so only one person from the team needs to have the timing chip at any one point.
Spectators can purchase tickets to watch the event. These will go on sale soon.
