Route information
For those who have competed in the Spring Onion and/or Cobham Sportive, the route follows the first 50/55 miles of the Spring Onion Sportive and then 40 miles of the Cobham Sportive, plus a few extra miles.
The course starts by taking participants through Effingham Junction towards Whitedown then into the lanes. After winding through the country lanes to reach Wisbrough Green, the location of the first feed station - The Old Mill Cafe. After refuelling, you will head to Bedham Hill which was added to the route to add an extra challenge. The gradient reaches 16% at points so be prepared for some hard work. Next, you will head towards Silent Pool before heading back to Shere. You head up to the peak of Pitch Hill then heading down to Ewuhurst. After some recovery on the flat, you will take on Barhatch Lane (21%), with a well-deserved feed station at the top.
After recovering, you go through the beautiful lanes of Farley Green and over the level crossing then passing Silent Pool. Riders will then head through Holmbury St Mary and eventually left turn up Tanhurst Lane , 17% onto Leith Hill (left).
