ChevronLeft

ChevronLeft
What is contained in my race pack for Challenge London?

Do I need a wetsuit for Challenge London?
A wetsuit is compulsory and it is your responsibility to ensure you have one on race day. The wetsuit will not only keep you warm, but will also help you swim faster as it provides you with extra buoyancy. Wetsuits must be worn up to 25°C. Should the water temperature exceed 25°C wetsuits are not permitted and changes to the event may be made at the organisers discretion. Surf and shortie wetsuits are allowed, but these are totally different to a triathlon specific wetsuit, which is designed for swimming and fits like a second skin.
ChevronLeft
Can I listen to a personal music player whilst racing in Challenge London?
No, you will be unable to hear other competitors or the marshals when you are wearing one and consequently pose a threat to others.
ChevronLeft
How can I find out my finish time from Challenge London?
Provisional results will be texted to participants within 1.5 hours of completing the event. All results will then be reviewed and put onto our website within the week.
ChevronLeft
Who do I contact for lost property at Challenge London?

ChevronLeft
Is water available during Challenge London?
Water will be handed out on the run course and at the finish line. There will be no water stations on the bike course – it is your responsibility to ensure that you have enough fluid to keep yourself hydrated on the bike leg.
ChevronLeft
What is the difference between Challenge London and The London Triathlon?
They are the same event. The London Triathlon has recently become part of the Challenge Family, and therefore the event has rebranded and is now named Challenge London

The organisation for the London triathlon was like none other! I’m very experienced in Triathlons and I do many in Spain which is where I’m currently living but I have never attended one quite so well organised- pre race and during! Thanks for all your hard work and I hope to do the race again in the future

Really good event and well organised. Would have liked more music on the run course but apart from that it was great.

Excellent event, well organised considering the number of people. The run course could be made slightly more interesting!

Signage and organization on the course should have been better, in particular, there should be signage in place at the end of the bike loop to remind you of how many laps you need to do depending on the event you are doing. I heard from a lot of people that they got a bit confused and couldn't remember if a second lap was needed. In terms of course facilities, the racking rows were simply too crowded. People were taking up too much space, and because everyone was so bunched up, bags ended up getting mixed up/lost. An option is to add tape lines to designate space per athlete. The bathroom facilities were absolutely horrid and I hope they improve this as a priority for next year --> providing enough clean and accessible toilets should not be hard in this day and age.

Another good London triathlon but the organisation wasn’t as good as normal, lots of places spectators could go even though there as more this year because of it being on one day and also lots of people on the course at once because the wave times were so close together

Garmin stolen in transition from my bike… absolutely no support from London Tri to recover it… Appalling

I’d never do the London triathlon again after not being able to defer, cancel or let a friend/family member take part. Profit over people.

Great but there are certainly rooms for improvement... :pTo be honest bike course direction not really clear and I am not sure I've completed enough laps. Also there was only one water station at Excel while nothing was available (yes there was a little shower somewhere) out there under the sun. It was scorching hot that day and I was not surprised when I saw the ambulance taking someone away.
