Route description

The Half Marathon is the third and final instalment of the Abersoch Triple Crown.

Half Marathon:

The Chaparral Abersoch Half Marathon is undoubtedly one of the most scenic course in the UK and will be run along a mixture of terrain, including roads, tracks, hills and, of course, the iconic Abersoch beach where runner's will finish in-front of a jovial crowd.

The route includes a number quick miles on country lanes around the Sarn Bach, Llanengan & Llangian areas. Throughout the race athletes will behold panoramic views of Cardigan Bay, St Tudwal's Islands, Hell's mouth & Bardsey Island, as well as Abersoch itself and it's beautiful golf course.

The start will be from Lon Pen Cei within the centre of the village and there will be aid stations on the following miles: 5.7, 8.7, 11.3 and the finish.

2K Beach Blast:

This event takes place on the beach, mixing hard and soft sand with quite a few groynes to negotiate too. You’ll have plenty of hard sand as well as the tougher soft sand, but the stunning location makes this one of the most enjoyable short distance races on the running calendar.
